The Canadian pubcaster has picked up the first two seasons of Guru Studio’s Netflix Original series.

Canadian public broadcaster CBC/Radio Canada has acquired the first two seasons of Toronto, Canada-based Guru Studio’s True and the Rainbow Kingdom. The Netflix Original series premiered on ICI Radio-Canada Télé in Quebec on February 4, and its English premiere on CBC will follow on March 24.

Produced by Guru with Pharrell Williams’ label I am OTHER, as well as fine art collective FriendsWithYou and animation studio Home Plate Entertainment, the series premiered worldwide on the streamer this past August. Netflix has since ordered a third season, which will follow the second season’s premiere sometime in 2018.

Following eight-year-old True and her best feline friend as they solve problems using a wishing tree, the series focuses on themes of mindfulness, empathy, imagination and reasoning. Toy State serves as master toy licensee for the brand, with the first wave of figures, plush, dolls and playsets hitting shelves this fall.
