Broadcasters in Asia, Europe and the Middle East have picked up tween animated series Teenage Fairytale Dropouts (52×11′) from distributor 9 Story Entertainment.
HBO in Asia, Sun Network in India, TVE in Spain, Orlando Kids in Croatia and Noga in Israel have acquired the series, which currently airs on Seven Network in Australia.
The show was created and produced by Mexican animation studio Anima Estudios and coproduced with Australia’s SLR Productions, Home Plate Entertainment in the US and Ireland’s Telegael.
It follows the three teenage offspring of famous fairytale characters, such as the son of Jack and the Beanstalk and the daughter of the Tooth Fairy as they attempt to leave normal lives.
Teenage Fairytale Dropouts was part of the extensive children’s and family library 9 Story added to its catalogue through the acquisition of CCI Kids earlier this year.
